D365 Purchasing Agent role cannot see all POs

D365 10.0.7 - My Purchasing Agent, with the roles Purchasing Agent and System User, cannot see all the POs in the All Purchase Orders list page.  In fact, when they create one, then Save and close the form, it too is not visible in the All Purchase Orders list page.  I have cleared all Personalizations, and Reset all Usage data.  If I make the Purchasing Agent a Sys Admin, they can see everything.

To my knowledge, no table level, or record specific filtering is in place.  No security role customizations have been made.

Any idea why this is happening?

I have the same question (0)

I would start by checking that Extensible Data Security is not used, or if it's used, verify the setup.

    Hi Oceanfish26,

Have verified in 10.0.7 environment and the purchasing agent role is providing access to purchase order so it's definitely related to your environment. Try adding the purchasing manager role and see if it helps, remove purchasing agent role for a second just to rule out if something is wrong with purchasing agent role. This will give you idea on where to start looking at. The see if role is customized etc.

As much as my mind tells me a developer didn't put one in as I didn't authorize it, my heart tells me there just might be.  I'm checking with them...

    Hi Oceanfish26,

Is this an environment fully new or does it contain code upgrade from e.g. AX 2012?

Also check if you used the role "Purchasing Agent" and not "Purchasing Agent - Public Sector". The role for the public sector industry has out of the box an XDS policy enabled.

    Hi everyone,

I was finally able to get a response from dev team.  Definitely no security policy.

    Hi Oceanfish26,

When a user can see all records as system administrator but not with the normal role, it should be related to security. Do you have the same behavior if you have a second user with the same security roles assigned? Or is it related to just one user?
