Hi All,

I am try to create a Person-type customer from the customer details form in Accounts Receivable. I specify the name of the customer and try to  save the customer. [This is a Vanilla Setup with 10.0.5]

In this scenario, I am receiving the following error message:

    Hi Poojith,

Check if there is a record template active for customer on the environment causing issues. If there is one remove it and retry.

    Best regards

Then you may have to troubleshoot this on this specific environment and see what may be wrong because it's not standard functionality.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

The issue still persists and I found the difference. I tried to load the Public Data packages to this particular dev box and this caused the issue.

Hi, I was trying to fill the Person type customer itself and I get the same screen as you but even after filling all the required column and I will get an error saying Name field must be filled in. It works fine in all my other Dev Boxes.

    Hi Poojith,

Field 'Name' must be filled in message is only shown when the type is 'Organization'. this message is not for person-type. Can you make change the type to 'Person' and then try again. you should see screen below when you select type as person. Screenshot below:
