User login issue after restoring DB from one Add on env to UAT on LCS

Hi,

After we restore DB from one Environment to Another (in my case Add on SAT Env to the UAT env) the users are unable to login even though they are the same users on both the environment.

One solution is to delete and reimport user. But there are quite a few users and then applying roles to them is an added work.

Is there a better solution to fix this login issue? Any LCS tool available for this?

Appreciate any tips.

Hi MYGz ,

Once a refresh database process is done for self service environments, the admin for the target environment will be the only active user.

Please check the to do list for refresh database on #DynFoTech dynfotech.com/.../

Hi MYGz,

Alireza is correct. Have you verified the enablement of the users? I usually used the Excel add-in or Power Automate to quickly enable the users again.

If the users were enabled and not able to login, please update let us know.

Hi there,

As a database restore process, some of the data will be not imported to the destination database, Users are part of it. Only Admin user will be enabled. By that only other users can be enabled.

Thank you guys. Enabling the users worked. I was in a hurry the previous time so deleted and reimported users and reapplied the roles. I was sure that there has to be a better way.

Andre Arnaud de Calavon Yeah, did it through excel add-in, changed the enabled column to TRUE.
