Permission issue with database

I have an issue regarding this.

I tried to open the database through Nav Development, but after I typed in the credentials it gave me this:

CREATE TABLE permission denied in database 'master'

SQL:

CREATE TABLE [dbo].[$ndo$srvproperty] (license IMAGE NULL)

The service can't start therefor I cannot import a licens as usual through Powershell ISE.

- Thanks

Assign SysAdmin & dbOwner rights in SQL to the user accessing developer environment & Service Account. Try after restarting the service.

    Hi Martin,

You need a sysadmin rights: to work through...

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../ms189121.aspx

The Table [dbo].[$ndo$srvproperty] in the master db is mandatory for NAV DB.

You can also create this table manually by the sysadmin of the hosting provider.

After the table is created you need to stored the licence in this table. If the table does not contain one record with a licence you will get an new error message stating that the licence is missing, even a separate licence is stored in the NAV DB.

You should also provide the Windows user with the "sysadmin" right in the database.

If necessary, try restarting the service after that. and Try again.

    Hi,

Make sure that the windows login of the user who is trying to access database using developer environment and the account which is used to run navision services should have at least - Dbowner permission in the sql database.

[i've split the posting from original thread "Migration - Service Instance not running" because it's a new topic.]

give your windows user and the nav service account sysadmin rights in the database, then try again.
