Missing correspondng line number from PO in Item Arrival - Advise

Hi, 

I need some advice. When you register Item arrival the the line number that pop up doesn't match the line from PO. What will be the best way to get line number in Item arrival journal, the line number that will match PO line number. I found it "LOT ID" but I am not 100% sure if it can be used for potential customization. 

Please suggest.

    Hi,

    sure. The valid thru date of the row product is really short and need to be deliver couple of times per week. So the PO contains a lot of lines but with diff delivery date.

    I am sorry that I was not cleared enough before.

    Hi Kacper,

    For sure with 100 lines with the same item, I would also like to have a better support using e.g. the line numbers. I wonder why there are so many lines with the same item. Can you explain the background?

    Hi Andre,

    thank you for yoyur answer. This is what I excepcted. The reason of that is to easy identify which item has arrived when PO contains 100 lines with the same item number.

    Hi Kacper,

    The line number in a journal is different from the PO line numbers. Do I understand correctly that you would want to have them the same? If so, why?

    If you need a link between the arrival journal and the PO line, then the Lot ID field (InventTransID) is your key.
