(MR) Calculations with column letter "IF"

Posted on by 9
Hello Community,
I have a huge report that has a lot of columns, it goes from A all the way to TZ, many columns have different calculations such as HB-HA for example. However, we have a problem with the column "IF", because when we try to use it in a calculation like this:
IF+HP+GZ+GJ+EA

The MR gives me an error and tells me that the conditional expression is incomplete and that it needs a "THEN".

Now, I understand this happens due to the fact that the word IF is a reserved word for conditional calculations and such, the question, how do i use the column with the letters "IF" then? Or can I simply not use that column in calculations?

oh... wow... hmmm... I bet they never thought you would have THAT many columns!! Yikes!

I know what I would do.    Just add a non-printing column in column "IF".      Somedays you can't fight Microsoft.
    :-)

    Good luck?

    Best,
