Hi All,

Facing the below error while importing Expense categories.

Results. The value 'Brokerage charge Accommodation' in field 'Expense category' is not found in the related table 'Category table'.
Results. validateField failed on field 'TrvExpenseCategoryEntity.ExpenseCategory'

Please advise.

The same is working fine when we create it manually.

Thanks
Deepa.

    Hi Deepa,

Have you tried to import the category as Shared Category using data management first?

    Hi Deepa,

Expense categories as well as Project categories extend Shared categories. Any category you import into Expense categories must first exists in Shared categories. You can use Shared category data entity for import.

Yes, I have created the shared category using data management.

But when the expense category are imported, system says the record is not found. But the record is available in the Shared category master and enabled as Use in Expense.

Currently, I had to create the masters manually.

    Thanks

    Deepa

    Hi Deepa,

Like Andre mentioned, before you import Expense categories you need to import some other entities. You can try with following entities:

    1-Shared category

    2-Category table

    3-Expense category

    Thanks Andre & Alireza.

I was importing Shared category and Expense Category, But Category table is something which i didnt do becoz i was not aware.

What is this category table? is this available in the Frontend or Is this required to be updated for using data management?

When i imported shared category using data management, i didnt have any issues. But while having expense category imported, system stopped.

If category table is missing, how was i able to create expense category manually?

Bit confused on this. Please clarify.

    Thanks

    Deepa

    Hei Deepa,

Category table is needed in data management before a project categories created.

It maps the category ID to shared category that need to create project category. Project category use categori ID for this mapping. Please check the following screenshots for more info:
