Unable to open Dynamics 365 for Talent project in LCS

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

We are trying  to open an LCS Project for D365 for Talent, however the option does not appear in product options.

We have more than 5 licenses.

Could someone advise how to resolve this?

Sorry, I don't see at all how this relates to my question. I am not able to create an LCS Project where I can select Talent as the product.

First Setup Task Recorder by clicking on Setting>Task recorder>Save to lifecycle services. Than check the snapshot for the next step

Saving task recordings to LCS is a good way to confirm testing of business processes, as well as create clear documentation that is easily available to all system users through Task recorder’s “Open from Lifecycle Services” playing functionality

    Next

To do this, however, it is first necessary for each user’s system to be linked to LCS.

Task guide parameter – Linking to LCS

Goto System administration > Setup > System parameters – Help

    PREREQUISITES

Users will be able to see and select the LCS project in the parameter above provided the following:

    1. The user needs to have the same tenant as the Lifecycle Services project.
      a. If the company’s email is @companyabc.com, the user’s login needs to end in @companyabc.com.
    2. The user needs to be a part of the LCS project.
    3. The user needs to directly login to the LCS project at least once.
    4. Provided the above conditions are satisfied, the project should be available in the user’s configuration.

    Slightly more technically speaking:

    1. Any user not part of the primary customer organization cannot see task guides and gets errors logged to message window every time they open the help pane – it does not matter if they are part of the LCS project or not
    2. Any user that is part of the customer’s   Office 365 organization that has never logged into LCS cannot see task guides and gets errors logged to message window every time they open the help pane

I hope this works well for you.
