Production picking list end mark

While i doing the picking list for the production order, there is an end mark as below:

Normally it means that if there are more materials coming, from my point of view it should be ticked when i do the last picking for a specific production order.

But seems it doesn't matter if i tick it every time, is there any negative impact if i do it all the time ?

many thanks

Normally you put a tick when you consume less than the proposed quantity. In this way AX treats the remainder on the line as 0. Otherwise even if you post the picking list with a lower consumption, AX considers that you will consume also the rest (up to the proposed quantity) and the quantity stays "on order" or "reserved" (according to your setting).

    End :

A selected check box indicates that the operation is finished. The backorder delivery on the BOM of the production is treated as zero, even if the quantity that is reported as finished differs from the quantity that was started.

    Hi Nitesh

i think it has nothing to do with the operation, cause operations are controlled by the route/job journal. and it also has nothing to do with the BOM.
