Hi.
I am in the process of setting up posting profile with my customer, mainly Vendor Posting Profile and Customer Posting Profile.
I am unable to explain or think about a good reason why there will be a need for creating multiple posting profile. Because we can select only one posting profile as default in the AR/AP Parameters page.
Any views/thoughts with some real life example will be appreciated.

Hi,
You can change the posting profiles on transactions.
Forexample, you have an advance payment and want to issue in a different GL account. Then on payment journals you can change the posting profile and post.

I didn't use multiple profiles a lot. In the cases where I needed it, the customer wanted to have a different main account for currency revaluations.
