Hi,

I want to hide the web menu item in enterprise portal using roles.

I have created the new role and privileges.I have added the web url menu item in privileges and added the privileges to the roles.

I have removed the "system administrator" role to one user and added the newly created role.But still i am not able to hide the web menu item in enterprise portal.Roles and privileges is working perfectly in Ax client but not working ep.

can you suggest me to hide the web menu item in "Enterprise portal".

Hello,

Is the user is part of any other roles? This menu might be part of other security roles so you need to check other roles. Also on your new security role the permission is set to "No access"?

Hi,

you will have to do that with profil and not security role.

there are many profil , so you can choose one to fit to your need or create a new one

Madhu,

For example, if you want to know the name of the Directory listpage in EP,

Click on Page tab & click Edit Page

On right side of the page, click Edit web part on the web part of your design

A pop-up will be shown where under Microsoft Dynamics AX, you can find the menuitem name.

Madhu,

The easiest way to find the menu item name would be to copy the url, paste in notepad.

You will have something like :

http://XXXXX/EmployeeServices/Enterprise%20Portal/ESSActivityPicker.aspx?WMI=ESSActivityPicker&WCMP=XXX&WDPK=initial

ESSActivityPicker is your web url name. As simple it is!!!!

I want to know the form name.In my URL i am not able to see any form name.I am able to see only the web menu item. Could you please tell me to find the form name

When to scroll to right-side, you find the same as below

This is the managed content item. Navigate to AOT->Web->Web content->Managed->ESSActivityPicker

ESSActivityPicker is the web control of Employee services menu item. Is this the one you are looking for?

Hi,

I have see above web controls but not able see form name.

In Ax rich client,if we want to display any details.details are displayed in form like "CustTable".I assume that in ep this expense details are designed using form.so I want to know that form name.

Please suggest me to find the form name.

Web controls in EP are same as forms in Rich client. Your requirement is to find the web control for New expense report page?

TrvExpTrans is the web control (form) for expense report page in EP
