Trial Balance on Home Page - Error: "The Trial Balance chart is not setup correctly. There are more rows in the account schedules than expected."

We set up a company but can't get the trial balance chart to work.  Where can I select an account schedule for use with the trial balance chart?  General Ledger Setup has selections for Balance Sheet/Income Statement/Retained Earnings, but I can't seem to find the Trial Balance chart setup anywhere in the system.

    Hi, jhardy

           Before selecting the name you want in the Account Name entry, click on the name in the Account table and enter exactly nine lines.

           After this, if you click on Trial Balance in the dashboard and click on the previous period, you will see the required data.

    Michiel - Thanks, until the setup option from Andrei is available your suggestion is the way to go.  

    Trouble is - where is this 'development environment' you are referring to?

    We fixed it (there is a new action in the Trial Balance factbox, which opens Setup page).

    Should be available with current or next update.

    I ran into the same issue. While debugging I found out that the CU1318 Trial Balance Mgt. simply takes the first available Account Schedule. Thus resulting in an error if that particular schedule has more lines than the simple trial balance expects. This seems to suggest that there should be some setup available for this functionality to work then, shouldn't it?

    And yes, it does!
    You can solve this by setting the I_MINTRIAL with the correct column name in table 1312 Trial Balance Setup.

    Strangely enough, this table is not available as a page, so you'll have to edit it through the development environment.

    Thanks to everyone who chimed in.  Having said that - while I_MINTRIAL exists in Cronus, I don't have the issue there.  

    I have the issue with a brand new company, where I don't see I_MINTRIAL at all and recreating it per the specs didn't help either.

    Andrei, while there may be no references to I_MINTRIAL, I can confirm that the Trial Balance chart on the Business Manager's Role Center (home screen) does indeed use it.

    The issue is that Jhardy seems to have added an additional row to that Account Schedule, perhaps to use it for another purpose, and that inadvertent change caused the problem. I am able replicate AND fix the issue.

    Removing the extra column and bringing it back to the way it was originally set up(see my other post on this thread with screenshots to see the original) will resolve the issue. A refresh of the Role Center page afterwards or log out / log in may be required.

    Hi Jhardy,

    Go to the search icon, search for "Account Schedules" (if you don't see it, make sure your User Experience is set to Suite; you can do that by searching for "Company Information", and scrolling all the way to the bottom of that page until you see User Experience").

    The Account Schedule you're looking for is "I_MINTRIAL".

    (EDIT: Added subsequently: You very likely changed it by adding a row or changing something about it. Bringing it back to the way it was originally will resolve the issue. I have been able to recreate your issue, and then fix it.)

    Looks like my previous assumption (that setup table contains references to I_MINTRIAL) was wrong. The setup table is empty, and you can not fix that.

    Thanks - will await next steps.   Replicating the Cronus Account Schedule and Column Layout didn't work.  

    I can print the trial balance everywhere else - just can't get it to work on the home page.

    The setting are not exposed (I will log a product suggestion).

    As workaround - please try to use Account Schedule with name = I_MINTRIAL and Column Layout Name = PERIODS.

    These are default values used in "Cronus" and "My Company".
