You cannot print or preview a report when Microsoft Report Viewer is not installed

We have Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 and since on eof the recent Windows 10 updates i cannot preview or print anything from NAV. Everything else on my laptop works correctly. I have tried logging on to my laptop as someone else and the same problem exists. If i log onto a different laptop as myself it works! We have tried completely removing NAV and ALL its prerequisites and completely re-installing from scratch and the same thing continues to happen. Has any one else ever had this problem and more importantly - did anyone find a solution with having to completely re-image the laptop? Regards, Tim

Have you tried to install Microsoft Report Viewer on your laptop? If not, open this link > www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

It has a downloadable file, Size - approx. 9 MB. Download and install it on your laptop and then try to preview from NAV.

Yes, the original one was 2014 but I have also tried 2015 (currently installed) - any other suggestions?

Thanks. yes i have read this and tried to action accordingly. I actually just removed the 2015 version and re-added the 2014 version from the prerequisite folder. Unfortunately nothing changed....When it says ensure you have the correct printer attached to the system, what does thsi mean? The one attached used to work fine.....?

When do you get this message? I haven't tried this on my system. Could you give a screenshot if possible?

    Tim,

Are you getting any error when you preview or print the report, when you mentioned you cannot preview or print what does it mean you don't have those options on the report. If possible can you please upload the screenshot. Have you tried to uninstall the recent update ?

Thanks Amol, yes I have done this at least three times. It's the 2014 version in that file. i also at one point tried upgrading to the 2015 version but this still didn't work. i since deleted and reverted back to the recommended 2014 version.
