How to upgrade to outlook Addin.

Hello All Experts,

While trying to run the msi file on the machine we are getting the below error.

Dynamics 365 for outlook is not installed on this computer or the update is incompatible with the current installtion of Dynamics 365 for Outlook.

 

Previous version installed is 

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 for Microsoft Office Outlook version 8.0.000.1088 
    New version to be installed is below.

    Version 8.2.2.137 Update for Dynamics 365 for Microsoft Outlook

    machine is 64 bit and outlook is 2016.

    Reference url for getting the msi file is below.

    can anyone help me in understanding or resolving this one.

    Of the machine (64 bit) you mean your operating system?

    Hi EmployeeOcta,

    Can you try to upgrade from 8.0 to 8.1 then to 8.2 and then to 8.2.2 ? does that work?

    Hello Experts,

    I have resolved the issue by uninstalling and installing the same version.

    I don't know why after updating to office 2013 to 2016 it was not working.

    can anybody know while upgrading the office why this issue has happend.
