Hi experts,

While entering data to journals facing the above error shown in image. Error is "The item xxxxxxx you enter not allowed here because the default journal Issue 1354 and Default Journal receive 1315"

The journal is inventory movement journal the error is generating because of that journal items are not showing and here for other journal items are showing ?? Check for this journal items are showing.

Hi Shabir,

Has this user tried to delete the journal and created a new and 'fresh' one?

Also, do you know if this user has kind of limited or restricted user rights?

Thanks for your reply, if we talk about roles or limitation the same is happening with me (Administrator User ID), One thing he or i didn't delete that or tried to delete that journal. Should it i(delete the journal).Will it not affect on old data.??

Hello Shabir,

If you create a new inventory movement journal enter a line and then delete this journal before posting it then nothing happens.

That is all your old data won't be affected.

So you mean, i should delete the journal and again create new one. again i am asking because this live server (For Example journal123 is not showing data i will delete this and againg Journal123 i will create so no affect will be there?)(: .......

Hi Shabir,

If you do this all from the normal standard user interface and not by any code, then creating a journal entering a line and deleting the journal again does not have any effect.

The same applies for all other kind of journals that you can find in the general ledger module, fixed assets, etc.

In case you are not absolutely convinced, try this in a demo/test environment first :-)
