Hello experts,
i would like to go for an option where i would like to delete around 3000 records from a custom entity, that might grow about 850k records per year. The bulk delete job will run during off business hours, nightly. it has one child entity, that might have 2 or 3 records for each parent record. i would like to know if it would create any performance problem accessing this custom entity in the short or long run. Appreciate your valuable comments. Thanks!

Is this regarding D365 CRM or D365 FnO? The tags are not clear and the problem statement does not mention it as well. If D365 FnO, the answer may also vary upon which Platform Update you are on.

Thanks for telling that. I am working on AX tech now but I worked on CRM before. According to me, this looks fine and should not cause performance issue as long as you are dealing with less than 1 million records in AsyncOperationBase table and the cleanup job is running during off business hours.
