When I run AxSetup to install Enterprise Portal as administrator from local drive of virtual machine, an error message window popups as shown in attached snapshot. appreciate your input as i have spent enough time on it.

Can you find keyword 'error' in above given log and check what's wrong there. And also check if you can find anything in event viewer.

following are snapshopt of log file and event viewer. In log file it shows errorlevel/exitcode '3'.

What does it means.

Make sure version of your AX setup matching the installed AX version.

Make sure you have the correct version and patch level of the prerequisite components installed as per the System Documentation guide for AX 2012.

These crashes typically happen if you have components missing, or they are out of date.

It is not enough to rely on the installer kits' prerequisite check, make sure you go through them and verify manually.
