Opening "Inventory Management -> Stock Available" Too Long

Hello
I have a problem as in the title. "On-hand Stock" in AX opens too long (two minutes). It takes a long time and it should open within 10-15 seconds max.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello norbertb,

Did you open the on-hand stock for all items that you have in your company or did you filter specific items?

How many different items do you have?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

At the very beginning, when I open the "Available stocks" tab, I do not choose from what range the stocks should be opened. All stocks run - no choice available.

    OK.

And how many items do you have on stock?

That is, how many lines do you see in the on-hand form once it finally opens?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I have no idea, there are about a thousand to be exact. The problem is that it's hard for me to check this because every move on "Available Stocks" makes it take 2-3 minutes to get anything done. Instead of 5 seconds maximum.

But in the second tab "Goods" - there are also thousands of indexes and there it opens without any problems in 5 seconds.

    Hi nobertb,

Do you have a developer who could analyze and debug the behavior of this form?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Have you reviewed the tools available for monitoring performance?

    docs.microsoft.com/.../tools-for-monitoring-performance

Also, ask yourself if the form has always taken that long to open or if it used to open more quickly. If performance used to be better than it is now, go over what changes may have occurred that could have an impact the performance (server migration, hardware changes, custom implementations, etc.). If there is custom code on the form, remove that and test without it to establish a performance baseline.

There are a lot of variables when it comes to performance. Do some monitoring of the slow process, and then decide what steps to take to improve performance based on your findings.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../plan-for-performance-optimization-and-testing

    I hope that helps!
