We have a new SMTP Server in which I went into Dynamics 365 SMTP email set up and put in the correct configuration and authentication is set to basic and when I do a test email I receive the following error:
The mail system returned the following error: "A call to MailKit.Net.Smtp.SmtpClient.Authenticate failed with this message: The SMTP server does not support authentication.".
If I change the authentication to anonymous and run the email test I receive the email but the workflow approval we have running doesn't work under authentication Anonymous. Has anybody from the community have an issue with this and how they were able to resolve it?
Thanks in advance
Jeff
I'm a new user of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. I have a question about SMTP setup. My company bought a dedicated server to host our CRM website and support email sending. We want to use the server to send emails directly from CRM which is installed on another server.Do I need to install IIS on the dedicated server? Do I need to setup virtual directories? Now I have to get uk assignment writing services to complete pending work on time. Do I need to create an Exchange account on the dedicated server? If yes, how do I create it? Do I need to configure DNS settings for this Exchange email account?
