Is it possible to implement full-fledged web application in asp.net as front end and CRM Sales as backend?
Also please note I dont want to use PowerApps Portal.
Yes, this is possible. The ASP .Net application can access the CRM data via the CRM SDK assemblies

Yes It is possible but still have question that, is CRM online or on-premise ?
Online :
You will face limitation of CRM Org API if you can directly use CRM db as back-end. I suggest use DES(Data export service) to make the full-fledged application. It will automatically sync CRM data to Azure SQL DB. It does sync data in one directional only but you can fetch lakhs of records in one call using SQl query and for other crude operation use CRM Org API.
On premise :
You won't face any limitation here.
