Personalization for users are temporary not permanently

Hi Experts,

From last 2 weeks we are facing an issue after increasing DB server space. All the user has lost their Personalization for example one user from finance dept add some parameters to GL, AP and AR reports that has been lost if he select that parameters again so it is temporary. If he reopen that reports the parameters go back and again he put that parameters which is difficult how to add the parameters or make that parameters permanently so that he could not add parameters again and again.

Best Regards,

Shabir Ahmad

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Shabir,

Could you provide more details of the issue.

Reading your thread it appears that method for example lastUsedValue() of particular report is not working ,but you also specified personalization which is totally different from running report with last used Value.

Also share if this is custom report or out of box report , when you open the report UI builder or DP class do you see any method like lastSavedValue() or something similar , name of which would depict that it is method used to store last used values for running the report.

    Thanks

    Mav

    Hi Shabir,

Is this question related to your other question? community.dynamics.com/.../unnecessary-modules-are-shown-to-user-after-giving-space-to-c-drive-db-server

It would be really interesting to know more in detail what happened during the maintenance. Just increasing disk space could not cause these type of issues. There should be something done in addition to only increasing space.

Report parameter generally retain the value of last inputs, unless reports are customized to have value initializaiton logic during runtime.

I can confirm infra change will NOT impact the cached report parameter values.
