Transfering "reserved" batch from warehouse A to warehouse B

Hello all,

According to my scenario;

I reserved some batch in warehouse A via my production order(automatically or manual).

Since A is a material warehouse, I cannot consume item directly from here.

That's why I need to transfer those reserved items to production warehouse B but system doesn't allow me to transfer it.

What are your solutions accept development?

    Why did you reserve it at a warehouse you will not consume it from? What document is reserving it, presumably not the production order because the warehouse on the BOM line would be different, unless you are not tracking physical by warehouse?

    Why do you think it will not allow direct consumption - is that an internal procedural role or will AX prevent you?

    The solution is to un-reserve it, transfer it, reserve it.

    Also, you could use a Transfer (order or journal) to move the batch to warehouse B, and reserve it to the Transfer. You could also, if you wanted to, use 'Reserved ordered' and reserve the receipt side of the Transfer to the production order.

    Hi,

    Our purpose is not to un-reserve it, transfer it, reserve it manually*.

    That' s why I asked the question but appeared that there is no standart solution.

    Thank you

    You need to use master planning. If you want reservations to occur you need to set extended marking, however this is a pretty tight regime. Maybe do some testing up front. You can always turn it on or off.

    Now you also have to create a supply route for your items. The requirement has to be from your manufacturing or resource picking location. I can strongly suggest using resource picking. It is set up on the BOM line. Just tick the Resource location checkbox.

    You also need to set up warehouse routing for your raw material in item requirements on the item (under the planning tab). Activate the planning override for your manufacturing warehouse and set it to transfer from your materials warehouse.

    Good luck

    If it is reserved it is reserved at the dimensions required, which will be warehouse, so you have locked it into that requirement. The standard solution exists, but it is the unreserve, transfer and re-reserve. The reason being that you are going against the logic of what you have configured the system to do, and you want to now do something different.
