Process work in WMS after Load/Shipment was created

Hello

We are designing a simplified process with Advanced Warehouse, where we don't want to use mobile device for pick/pack. The process, which we are aiming for is:

  1. Create a salesorder
  2. Do manual reservation against a selected batchnumber on stock
  3. Create a load / add salesorder to load (manually)
  4. Create shipment, where we can print shipment documents, e.g. PickList
  5. Send Picklist to external warehouse (service provider, who manages stock for us - this warehouse is a blackbox for us --> we do not care for the picking process)
  6. Receive notification from external warehouse, that goods were picked/packed
  7. Register pickinglist / Post packingslip

The point is, that we want to use Advance warehouse only, because the shipment-object will allow us to print all required documents, which are only available in WMS.

Currently we have a working configuration, but the process here is:

  1. Create a salesorder
  2. Do manual reservation against a selected batchnumber on stock
  3. Release to warehouse --> with autocompletion of generated work
  4. Create a load / add salesorder to load (manually)
  5. Manage shipment, where we can print shipment documents, e.g. PickList
  6. Send Picklist to external warehouse (service provider, who manages stock for us - this warehouse is a blackbox for us --> we do not care for the picking process)
  7. Receive notification from external warehouse, that goods were picked/packed

The problem here is, that the picking is too early in the process (step 3) --> we want to register pickinglist only at the end of the process and we do not use mobile devices.

Any idea, how to configure such scenario?

    Adrian,

Have you considered adding the order to a load, and releasing to warehouse from the load planning workbench? You could print the necessary documents from the load and release/autocomplete at the end.
