How do I delete the Contoso dummy corp and more?

Hi,

I cannot delete Contoso and just have my own company installed? Please help.

I have deleted all employees using excel but I cannot delete the jobs or titles as I receive this warning - Warning: Titles cannot be deleted while dependent Job detail exist. I cannot find any dependent files at all. Please Help.

    Hi,

    if it is for Dynamics 365 for Sales/Customer angagement i.e. CRM: here is the link: docs.microsoft.com/.../add-remove-sample-data

    If it does not work because you alredy deleted some data, you should do a reset of the instance(switch to sanbox mode) and chelc the box none of the above module.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the tip. The link you have posted asks that I click on options and then click data management to be able to delete the data. I do not have that tab in my options drop down list. I have - User Options, Task Recorder, Mobile App and About. None of these options allow me to remove sample data.

    Please let me know if you have any other tips that might help me.

    I am on Dynamics365 Talent

    Hi Nicola

    There isn't currently an easy way to delete sample data from the preview environments. In your example, the title values are held in a table called HcmJobDetails, which is a child table of HcmJob. If you can use Excel to delete the job detail entity, you should then be able to delete the jobs and the titles without any problems.

    Just curious though - if you've purchased a Talent license you should get a clean environment without Contoso data. You weren't planning on using a preview environment long term, were you?

    Hi Tom, we were granted 5 Microsoft Dynamics Seats with our Microsoft Partner Network Action Pack, renewed January 2018. We have added the 5 seats to our existing Office 365 portal and I was assigned a seat by our Office 365 Admin. Please send me a PM and I can give you more details regarding our corporate setup.

    Cool, sounds like you've got the licensing covered - how did you deploy the environment you're trying to remove the Contoso data from?

    Understood. Hitting 'Start free' deploys a preview environment that you can use to test drive the product. These environments have a limited life of 60 days, so they're fine for trying things out. But - if you want something longer term (and a clean product that you can load all your own data into in a more controlled way) you need to create a Talent project in LCS and spin up your Talent environment there.

    Caution: The following steps may result in permanent data loss. Be careful about accidental deletion of data. I recommend your to consult with Microsoft if you are not sure..

    You can go to web.powerapps.com> select the right CDS environment from the drop down on top>  click Data> Entities. On the right hand top corner you can find three dots and click on them> Select Clear All Data option...
