Customer Self-Service Portal Forum?

Posted on by 5

I need information on the Customer Self-Service Portal. Everything I am finding is one level of abstraction too high. I am trying to implement something now and am looking for detailed documentation - Even something documenting what all the snippets/pages are would be fine.

I apologize if I have missed something obvious. I looked all over the place. It seems like all I could find is very top-level info.

Thanks,

--Matt

I appreciate the link to the overview video, but this is just not at all what I need.

I need real, technical documentation for someone implementing a portal, not high-level overviews.

Thanks again for reaching out though.

I am finding this area of the documentation helpful.

I viewed the video. Unfortunately, it is much too basic for where I am. I am trying to implement a portal with my company's branding. I already know the portal's capabilities. I need much deeper technical info.

I found this video.  It is closer to what I need, but what I was hoping is that there was an actual forum for people trying to implement the Customer Self-Service Portal.  Maybe this is the right place?

Thanks for the response, Leah. I have been through that documentation and those videos. Unfortunately, they are way too basic for where I am. I am trying to implement a portal with my company's branding and a custom landing page for the Knowledge Base. I already know the portal's capabilities. I need much deeper technical info.

    Here are some example questions

    1. Is there documentation describing what each of the Code Snippets do? Some of them are obvious by the name? For example,
      1. I want to change the background image on the header and the footer
        • I want to remove the footer on some pages
      2. How do I change the Nav Bar? (NavLeft and NavRight seem like they are just the location) How do I add something or change say where the Knowledge Base Link points?
    2. Ditto the Web Page templates
    3. I have been trying to use the Power Portal App to just add a blank page, but I can't add any components to that page. Every time I try to add a component, I get

    pastedimage1622648539844v1.png

I don't even know what an element is. All I have on the blank page is one big blue boundary. I can provide a screenshot if that is helpful.

So, these are the types of questions I need answered.

    Thanks again for responding.

The link above is a brief introduction to the customer self-service portal, Customer Self-Service Portal is one type of the Power Apps portals.

You can refer following document to know how to configure portal:
