How to fix cannot edit record in alerts event inbox(eventinbox) update conflict occured

Hi folks

I have a a workflow step which gets assigned to a user group., whenever a user in the user group completes the assigned task, all other users of the group get below error by clicking on bell /notification icon or at the time when they are reloging into Ax.

Please suggest a fix.

Please note Assignment is set to Single approver . When user A delagates it , user B gets the error message of update conflict in Alertevent inbox.

Please share your results after replicating this at your end.

Thanks Mav,

I'm confused why you are naming the approval 'Delegate' for an approval item. I will try to reproduce the behavior assuming it should be an approval step.

Hi Mav,

I'm missing a part of the workflow configuration form. I'm interested to see what exact workflow elements are available. Are you using here the Approve vendor invoice element named with 'manual delegation' or do you have multiple workflow elements available?

Hi

Sure, please not the other property assignment is to participant , time limit is 1 day and completion policy is single approver.

No escalation path and condition is always run this step.

1.Ax version Ax2012 R3.

2.Workflow Vendor invoice journal workflow.

3.Alert notification None, no alerts or notification selected in that delegate tasks .settings in the workflow.

4.Other workflows As of now i have not tested adding delegate step in other workflow , however it should not

happen in any workflow.

Hi Mav,

Which exact version of Microsoft AX 2012 are you using? Which workflow type are you using here? Do you have the same issue on other workflow types? What alert/notifications did you set in the workflow configuration?
