AX 2012 EP instalation problem (never finish)

Hello,

I'm trying to install the portal AX 2012, in an environment of 3 servers.

A server DB, AOS and other third server with Sharepoint and Enterprise portal. I follow all the installation steps, but when I finally step installing the EP with the AX installer never finishes the installation.

I tried it on a single server (development), and has been installed.

I have all firewalls DISABLED.

Something must be done when it is a multi server environment? Any idea?

thank you very much

The features are:

windows server 2012

AX 2012 R2 CU7

Sharepoint foundation 2013 + update

SQL server 2012.

    Sounds like it is waiting on something. Try open the setup logs in notepad when it is stalling. Scroll down to the bottom of the log and look for whatever is in the bottom of it. Perhaps it will give you a clue on why it is stalling.

    Hello Tommy,

    thanks for the reply. I started installing yesterday at 15h44 and 15h48 the last message that gives me the log is:

    Introducing the function ReadSharePointRegistry

    02.04.2014 15:47:26 Z Reading registry key SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Shared Tools \ Web Server Extensions \ 15.0, property Location

    02.04.2014 15:47:26 Z The registry key SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Shared Tools \ Web Server Extensions \ 15.0 with the Location attribute has the value C: \ Program Files \ Common Files \ Microsoft Shared \ Web Server Extensions \ 15 \

    02.04.2014 15:47:26 Z Leaving function ReadSharePointRegistry

    Then do not say anything more, and today, still continues to install.

    Any idea?

    thanks

    There should be some additional files, like the components log. Are there any logs with a more recent timestamp in the same folder? Are there any clues in the event log?

    Hi Rudra,

    I've done everything you tell me, in fact, in my servdior of development has been installed without problem. I have the problem when I try in test environment with 3 servers.

    thanks

    Try the following if not already done:

    (1) Ensure you are slip-streaming CU-7 in the updates folder of AX 2012 R2

    (2) Stop the Search Host and Service service in Windows services (disable them else they will auto start)

    (3) Manually create a web site using SharePoint admin, with app pool running as bcproxy user. Do not create a web site with a host header (you can create that later if the following works)

    (4) Then run AX setup and deploy EP extensions(do not select any of the 3 check boxes you get at the end of the wizard)

    (5) then navigate to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX\60\Setup\EPDeploymentService"

    (6) Make a backup copy of the web.config file first. Then edit the orginal web.config and at the bottom just after the </runtime> section enter the following section:

                    <system.web>

                                    <httpRuntime executionTimeout="900" />

                    </system.web>

    (7) Save web.config and recycle the web application pool running the EP web site or run IISRESET.

    (8) Then use the SharePoint admin to create an EP site collection (using the SPS 2010 schema)

    HTH
