Alt Keys & Windows 7

Ok, everyone! Here's a wacky one, I think.

I have a register that the client also uses for much of his manager work. This register works great, mostly...

So the problem is two fold:

1. The POS Alt keys don't work. The keys we made work fine on all the other registers.

2. One customization doesn't work, a program we wrote that creates a NYS keg form. When the program (written in VB.net) goes to get the info saved in the customer text1 field, it cannot read it. Mind you it is displayed in the Status bar on top. Oh...

3. (I know I said two) The status bar on top doesn't show the ms color gradient, going from white to blue.

So Ithink it may have something to do with IE 10, or possible a .net library is missing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-Jerry

    1) Some keyboards require the Fn key to be pressed before the Function keys work. Also turn off the UAC.

    2) If it uses a Custom Button, make sure you are not calling \Program Files(86)\ on a 32b machine

    3) Look here; community.dynamics.com/.../how-to-fix-html-status-bars-that-do-not-populate-after-you-apply-to-internet-explorer-10-0.aspx
