Set up role to allow editing of the Pos. Hierarchy

Hi all!

I am trying to create a new role in Dynamics to allow some of our employees to edit the position hierarchy for our org. (Human Resources -> Positions -> Position Hierarchy). Currently, I have some issues with finding the correct privileges for the role I am trying to create.

Pretty new to custom roles in D365, so if anyone has any input that can help me out, that would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your tip Parag! I didn't know that you could show all roles/duties/privileges like that!

    Hi DeMander,

The position hierarchy form is a representation of the position setup where you can specify the manager position (Reports to position).

So the user should have access for maintaining the positions which is part of the duties 'Maintain job and position master' and 'Maintain and configure organizational model'.

If you want to assign privileges directly, you can use: 'Maintain positions using a list page' or 'Maintain operating units'.

    Hi,

If you go to Position Hierarchy form >> Options >> Security diagnostics then you will find all security-related information.

I hope this information help. Same you can do for other forms in D365 HR.
