Quantity decimal places

Hi,

What is the use of decimal precision in setting up units under Organization administration>>Setup>>Units>>Units?

We need to adjust the quantity decimal places from 2 to 4 decimal places.

I enter 4 decimal places in decimal precision but it seems it is not working.

I'm using AX2012 R3.

Pls help.

    It is used for internal calculations when using units and conversions. Note that the quantity fields in AX 2012 are standard set or having 2 decimals. For that reason, using more than 2 is not recommended unless you want to go for a cumbersome customization.

    Setting 0, 1 or 2 are usual settings.

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

    Now it is confirmed that standard AX only accept up to 2 decimal places for quantity, unless we customize it.
