Integer virtual table is generally used for looping in report where you want to print. Basically like any loop for example FOR loop for dataitem where it's not suitable to loop a table or for looping a temporary table. You can check standard document reports where it is used for printing no of copies.
Basically this is used for looping through the records. A simple example is copy loop in some of the document reports, say Report : 204. Based on the no. of copies entered while printing/previewing the report, the Integer dataitem will help in looping.
