Implication of field-level security on entity synced with marketing-insights

Hi,

I have an entity that needs to be synced with the marketing-insights service. However, it contains some fields with field-level security that should not be available to marketing users.

The purpose of the sync is to allow segmentation based on criteria from the other fields in this entity. Marketing users should not be able to see values from secured fields in the segment or when used in dynamic email content or anywhere else.

Is that possible? Or will all fields become available once the entity is synced?

Furthermore, what happens to the records when they are deleted from CDS? Are they also deleted in the marketing-insights or is there some trace of them left? Is space freed when they are deleted?

I didn't find documentation on this topic.

    Hi,

    I am referring to the marketing-insights services as described here

    Those are configured through the Dynamics Marketing app: Settings -> Advnaced -> Marketing data configuration

    Hi Nikoleta,

    it is written on Dynamics website that "Dynamics 365 Market Insights Preview is no longer available to new customers and the service will end for existing customers on May 11, 2020. We plan to incorporate the core technology and learnings into Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and Bing industry updates". (dynamics.microsoft.com/.../).

    So, may I ask why to work on that if the service will end in 4 days? Or do you mean customer insights?
