Re-Import Error: The file that you uploaded is invalid and cannot be used for updating records

I'm trying to update owners of appointments due to an import issue. I'm new to the Dynamics Export/Import process, but my understanding was that when I export to Excel, I need to reimport without changing any columns.

As a test, I only exported three records. When I tried the re-import with only the owner name changed, I received the invalid file error. I then tried only changing one character in the Subject, I still received the error. I haven't had this issue with other imports. Anything I might be missing with this?

I changed to a different view and the reimport worked as expected. The original view wasn't custom as far as I can tell.
