Customer Journey Testing

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I'm having some difficulties figuring out what's wrong with my customer Journey. Right now I'm trying an Inbound format so I just have a simple landing page and after a Contact submits its info I'm just supposed to create an activity.

I had a much more complex journey but since I couldn't even move past this stage I decided to go step-by-step. I'm just frustrated that there doesn't seem to by any indication of ongoing processes moving through the journey or any kind of debugging feature. The only thing I know is that the contact is created based on the submitted info. I don´t know if there's any additional procedure to add the Landing Page on the Journey besides putting it in the flow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    RE: Customer Journey Testing

    Hi Christian

True, we have rolled out the April update on our Sandbox instance and now we can delete a journey.

    So we will wait Apris.

  • RE: Customer Journey Testing

    Hello,

I do not think you have the April update yet ;-) April update is not available yet.

We are only in the process of rolling out March update right now.

    Hi

We have now update the SandBox with the April update and I'm still unable to delete Customer Journeys...

    So probably I'm missing something.

    First let me show you:

    - As you can see the Delete button is active here. I'm in the view "Past, Active and planned journeys"

    6013.CJ4.PNG

    - As soon as i select a CJ, the button desapears...

    1122.CJ2.PNG

    - If i go in the CJ itself, I dont have any button to delete it. Note that the CJ has expired.

    3288.CJ3.PNG

    - And note as well that the CJ is stopped.

    Questions:

    - How to descativate a CJ? I didn't find the button, action, etc. And mybe this is the key in my problem.

    - Do you have any other info / ways to help me?

    Thank you very much.

    RE: Customer Journey Testing

Unfortunately builds prior to Feb 2019 release will not support deletion of stopped journey. once you have updated to MAR 2019, you would see delete button on journey designer i.e. while viewing a specific journey. Hope this clarifies.

The grid view is intended for multi record operations - and deletion is something we intend to support on single record only, as its a sensitive operation business wise, and we want users to be very sure while doing a delete.

    Hi Shailesh.

Thank you very much. To be able to delete a stopped journey, is there anything special to do before?

I have the delete button in the CJ list vew but as soon I select a journey, this button desapears...

    Hi Pascal,

Deletion of stopped journey was part of Feb 2019 release but your instance may not have that update.

Unfortunately the Feb updates are currently disabled, we would shortly be releasing Mar 2019 update. Once you have updated your instance to latest (MAR) builds in next few weeks, you should be able to delete this stopped journey.

    regards

    Shailesh

    RE: Customer Journey Testing
    Hi
I'm coming back on this topic.
I've a CJ that I've created in january.
It's stopped. The end date is set to the 13th of Jan....
    CJ2.PNG
As you can see in the detail of the Test CJ, it's still active, but it's stopped. The end date is passed since several weeks...
    CJ2.PNG
How can I delete this CJ?
How can i desactivate this CJ?
How can I hide this CJ?
We need to be able to test a CJ and then delete it. Otherwise we just polute more and more the CJ list.
When I go to the CJ view lists, there is a view nammed "Innactive Customer Journeys". How do i move a CJ there ? I've tried so many things but i didnt succeed.... There must a be a trick or a bug.

    Thank you for your help.

    RE: Customer Journey Testing

journey once  it goes live can't have any structural changes i.e. you can't add or delete tiles. even if you stop the journey has contacts at various tiles, and any structural changes are not permitted. what you can do is alter properties of existing tiles.

in the next refresh coming in a few weeks, any journey can be stopped and then deleted. this was based on the user feedback that it was cluttering views, hope this addresses your concerns
