I have a CSV file with accounts informations including latitude and longitude.  When i import, messages saying that the latitude isn't in the correct format are logged.  My source is 8 long with 5 decimals.  I also tried formatting it as a string and it obvisously doesn't work.

The default Longitude and Latitude should be between -90.00000 and 90.00000.

Either your values are outside of this range, or you have a text delimited value in your import file. The number shouldn't have any text qualifiers around it.

You can also try using the Settings->Data Management->Templates for Data Import and download the template for Accounts. Use this as the basis for your import. Copy the values from the csv into this template.

This is what my “export to csv” generates.  As you can see, values look OK.  I saw a slight difference in the CRM field format.  For example, The “exchange rate” field is set as a “number with decimals” and latitude is a “some king of float with 5 decimals”.  (sorry for the translation, I use a french version).  I wonder if it makes a difference in the input format.

Finally after multiples trials and errors, i found it.  The fields LATITUDE and LONGITUDE must be formatted as STING using a coma for decimals.  So latitude 46.12345 must be formatted "46,12345" in the input file.
