I have a report with a custom code element that worked fine in Dev, but once moved to UAT running the report throws the error: "The report server has RDLSandboxing enabled and the report contains customc ode. Remove the Code element from the report definition."
In the meantime I am removing the custom code but am still curious if it is possible to disable this in UAT and I suppose Prod as well, since I imagine it would become a problem there as well.
For service fabric environments, the report does not support custom code on tier2+ envs.
You need to prepare the data in the datasets instead of using custom code.
Hi,
You cannot disable RDL sandboxing on (Tier2) UAT and Production.
I believe that the application package in SAT might have a different code/resource than the dev environment.
All environments (UAT & PROD) will eventually be migrated to self service environments and this would have likely trash all of your fonts in production – and Microsoft does not install fonts that are not owned by Microsoft.
Self service no longer supports business logic defined using Visual Basic script embedded in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. Visual Basic expressions defined in Tablix controls used to format and evaluate data at runtime will continue to be fully supported. However, the service will ignore instructions defined in Visual Basic script functions.
