These positions already have an employee associated with them. We need to be able to show both employee's in AX in the same position for the period of the handover. How can I do this in AX 2009?

At present we have no workaround. So an employee joining the company in mid month for a 2 week handover cannot be assigned a position until the employee they are taking over from has vacated the position. This leads to incorrect and incomplete data records.

I know that in Oracle and SAP this is easily handled however I can find no reference to this in any AX documentation.
