Hi there, we have created an custom entity as per our requirement.  When we try to open the entity in excel and publish records, for few records the changes are publishing and for few records the changes are not publishing and throwing error like "'No resources were found when selecting for update." Please suggest where exactly i need to check to resolve the issue so that i can able to publish the changes from excel.

    Hi Prem,

This error can be related to not having a proper entity key defined, but could also be something else. Can you share the technical details of your custom data entity?

Seems that your entity key doesn't correspond to a unique index in the data source table. The solution is to define the entity key so that it matches a unique index in the main data source table.

Hi Nikolaos, In my case my entity key is matches with the unique index of the primary datasource.

    Thanks for the information.

Then you need to analyze the details more. And share with us, too.

Perhaps the issue occurs when you change the key fields in Excel?

    Hi Kumar,

Is this issue happening for new records, or for records that are already in the system and are updated through Excel add-on?

As mentioned above, usually the fields that make up your entity key, should also be present on the excel for the user to specify.

So, for starters, check if you have the columns that compose your data entity key in your excel template too.
