Custom report layout doesn't apply on posted documents

ReportReport
Posted on by

Dear all,

in NAV 2015, i try to customize some report layout, following this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeFFQmf4D84.

Everything is fine EXCEPT for the posted sales invoices : the document remain standard. Howerver, when i go to the custom reports layouts and "run report", i can see that the invoices are customize.

Could anyone help me with this ?

Thanks in advance !

    Hi,

I know it is a stupid question but... Have you chosen in Departments/Administration/IT Administration/General/Report Selection Sales ; Usage: Invoice the new custom report object?

After you create customize report, in the report layout selection you need to choose custom layout in the selected layout and choose the customized report.

Thank you for your answer, but that's what i did. In fact, i go to : CRONUS BELGIQUE SA/Departments/Administration/IT Administration/Reports/report layout selection. There, i select the custom report i created.

When i "run report" on the custom report layouts, no problem, the change is there.

When i click on print => preview on the posted sales invoice, it's the standard layout.

    So, i don't understand.

I'm working with the Cronus DB, and with the report ID 1306.

Standard layout of 1306 or 206?

    Go to CRONUS Nederland BV/Departments/Sales & Marketing/Order Processing/Setup

    and Report Selection Sales

and select Invoice and check which Report ID is selected.

When you preview on report from posted sales invoice and from report layout selection please check if both report numbers are the same.

    That's it !

    Thank you very much :)

By the way, i don't understand : when i try to customize the report 206, i have an empty page. So, i pick the report id 1306 for the invoice in the report selection sales - since they have the same name. Does it change anything?

    Hi Andrea

I have just spend a whole day trying to figure out how to get totals at the buttom of my invoice layout 206 when I came across your "stupid question" and now I can work on the 1306 layout that does not have a problem with the totals.

Thanks for asking stupid question ;-)

Had the exact same issue. Now it works like a charm, thanks!
