Static value in column of management reporter row defination

I am generating management reports,but in some of ledger account there is no value. I am getting 0 as value for those ledger's.

Is it possible to give some static value in row definition for testing purpose instead of calculating or fetching from main accounts?

    Hello Ahmed,

    You cannot simply add an amount on a MR row that is linked to a ledger account in the Management Reporter row definition in order to test the structure of your report.

    All needs to go it's ordinary way through transactions in AX.

    What you could possibly do is testing your report in a demo system that has MR setup/linked. Simply export your building blocks from your live environment where you did the setup and import them into your demo/test system MR.

    I have demo data loaded in my system, I am trying in INMF company in that. Still for many ledgers there is no transactions.

    Hi Ahmed,

    So you have posted values in AX but can't see them in MR, is that right?

    Have you checked whether the service processes are running in the configuration console and probably restarted them?

    Hi Ludwing,

    No i have not posted any transactions. I was trying with demo data. I am getting report too, but few ledgers are having zero. I don't know how to post values to those ledgers, so i was trying to give some static value for testing purpose..

    Can you tell me which company in demo data have transactions in all ledgers.

    Hi Ahmed,

    The USMF Contoso company should have sufficient demo data for testing purposes.

    If you are testing in Contoso, why don't you simply create some test transactions via GL journals where you create transactions on those accounts that currently do not show any balance in your MR report? It will take a while posting all the transactions but I believe this will be the way to go forward if you want to test your report design in detail.
