    Hello V (Veerak),

One option is to use the Edit in Excel functionality to update all your items. To do this you can follow these steps to update your item's Gen. Prod. Posting Group:

    A. Log into Dynamics 365 fo Financials and click Items to see your list of items.

    B. In the Home Tab click 'Edit in Excel', this will dump all your items into Excel.

    C. In Excel Add-In on the right click 'Design'.

    D. To the right of Item_Card click the Pencil icon.

    E. In Available fields locate 'Gen_Prod_Posting_Group - Gen_Prod_Posting_Group', click to highlight it, and then click +Add below.

    F. Click 'Update' and say 'Yes' to Continue.

    G. Click 'Done'.

    H. Click 'Refresh' and say 'Yes' to Continue.

    I. Your last column should now be the Gen_Prod_Posting_Group, which you should now be able to populate with your desired Gen. Prod. Posting Group.

    J. Once you have populated that column then you can click 'Publish' which will populate that field for your items.

Note: The Gen. Prod. Posting Groups will need to be set up prior to importing them in. To set them up you can go through these steps:

    1. In the application use the Search Icon and search for Posting Group.

    2. Click the second returned option Gen. Product Posting Groups.

Another option is to use Configuration Packages. To use these you can search Configuration Packages and click the option for Configuration Packages. Click D365 and then you should see a list of Configuration Packages that are available, one of them being Item.  The same functionality here exists where the data can be exported to excel, imported and then validate the data and then you can apply the data. For more information on Configuration Packages see the following links:

docs.microsoft.com/.../upload-data, which will take you to this link:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../across-import-data-configuration-packages

    Best Regards,

    Jennifer Reinhardt
