NAV 2015 Default Security Roles

Hi, I'm trying to create a Role ID for user maintenance.

I added to new role permissions read/insert/modify/delete and also execute on tables User/Permission/Permission Set/Access Control, but when the user delegate tries to modify or add permission, an error message is displayed; the messages tells about SUPER or SECURITY role needed for that operation.

In NAV 2015 base (Chronus), I dont'n find any kind of special roles, such as SECURITY, but none of special Special Permission Set, exept SUPER, is present: msdn.microsoft.com/.../dd568744(v=nav.80).aspx

How can I add those special roles in my NAV?

Thanks.

Giorgio

To add permissions or modify you need to have SUPER role.

Hi Suresh, I don't need obvious replies... I know perfectly that SUPER role can modify permissions. I need to have at least a user NOT SUPER, who could modify security permission and not objects.

Following the link provided in my previous post, I found in MSDN that should be other 4 special roles named SUPER (DATA), SECURITY, BASIC and FOUNDATION, in addition to SUPER role.

I searched for them in NAV example DB, but I found only SUPER role, none of additional roles.

My question is: "Where can I found an XML file, a Table Data file, a TEXT file, with details of those roles so I can restore them in my NAV database?".

    Many thanks and B/R

    Girogio,

I was just trying to help, great that you have more knowledge and if you have specified clearly what you need then in your initial post it would help a lot.  Please remember this is a forum to help each other, so give respect if you expect some answers.

    Anyhow best of luck.

    Suresh, I wouldn't be rude...

I take care about every answer, trust in me, and it's perfectly clear in my mind where I'm writing.

Probably my first request was not so clear, ok... I'm sorry if you felt me rude.

all these permission sets are available in nav 2016 w1 demo db.

and all except SECURITY permission set is available in nav 2015 w1.

please try to copy from the above mentioned db versions.
