Hi everyone,
I was wondering what is the best way to offer a positive and on brand UX when individuals are signing up to your event.
When creating a new event, Dynamics creates a pretty standard website where people can register. The only thing you can do is to aa an event image.
I can customise the marketing form to my liking though (see below).
I was wondering if there is any way you can customise the event website page too?
Alternatively, is there any way I could use a marketing page for registrations and link it to the event so I can keep track of registrants and attendees?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Beatrice
Hi Beatrice,
We need to download sample event website and customize it locally, then deploying modified files to Event Portal with an automation script in the project folder:
Dynamics 365 Portal hosted custom event website | Microsoft Docs
That's because Event Portal is special compared with other types portals(Community Portal, Customer Self Service), it is build with Angular, currently the functionality to customize such type of Portal in OOB way in PowerApps Portal editor is not implemented, so you may need to complete customization with help of developers in your team.
You could refer to series of tutorials from Aileen Gusni, they are detailed and might be helpful to beginners.
For the second question: yes, once the event registration form is linked to an event in Event form, we can embed the form on marketing page.
But it need to be added to marketing page manually: copy the script of Forming host field and paste to source code of marketing page.
