Not able to Refresh Entity Store to Data Lake

Hi All,

I am trying to refresh the data entity store and push it to data lake but it is not working. Here are the observations:

1. After refresh, not able to find the Batch job, that means it is not getting added to Batch job

2. Data connection is setup and tested properly

Here are few error which we got when batch job was run last time but as now even Batch job is not running:

Error-1: Could not allocate a new page for database 'AxDB' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.

Error-2: Data populate failed for CustCollectionsBIMeasurements.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks ,

Saurabh

If you are running this from Dev machine , make sure to free up space on the  drive where SQL server files are present and then try.

    Hello Saurabh,

Error-1: Could not allocate a new page for database 'AxDB' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup.

In the SQL Server Management Studio, under the Databases node there is a FileGroup option where you can set the auto-growth properties of the SQL Server database file. The auto-growth event is the process by which the SQL Server engine expands the database size and hence the disk runs out of space when the file grows. This is the issue that you are facing. Recommendation is to shrink the size of the database.

Error-2: Data populate failed for CustCollectionsBIMeasurements.
The reason this fails to populate data into the CustCollectionsBIMeasurements is because of the size of the main database(AxDB) file. Also, the AxDW database fails to get the required data from the source which is the AxDB database.

    Thanks,

    Hi Saurabh,

Entity store refresh batch is not working well all the time (not sure why), switch to automatic refresh to forget about all these issues.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../automated-entity-store-refresh

Check your hard disk space where the SQL data files are stored. If this is a cloud-hosted environment, discuss with your Azure environment manager and add a new disk with enough storage to hold these files and add to the VM. Then stop SQL services and move the AxDB data file to the new disk with enough space and attach the database back.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../detach-a-database

    docs.microsoft.com/.../attach-a-database

In case of Sandboxes, raise a support request with Microsoft to get it resolved.
