our Accounts Department has decided we need to amend our Financial dimension configuration against 900 part numbers which will impact thousands of open orders ( Sales orders, sales quotations, batch orders).
The financial dimensions to change are : Department and Cost Centre.
Is there any standard function to facilitate this task?
The plan would be to amend the Financial Dimensions against the released products via DM and then use this "function" to amend all the open orders FDs for all the part numbers involved.
I appreciate this can be done by using Data management but there are limitations for the batch orders update.
Batch orders Financial dimensions are specified against the Prodtable and ProdRoute, I will need to amend both. The orders will need to be rolled back to status "created" before running the upd, regarding the prodroute there is no open data entity that can extra the route and amend the FD. So not really doable.
The current idea is to develop a script of update above however I was hoping a standard tool is available somewhere.
