how to do unitest for a production webservice in iis

Hi,

I have a portal and sharepoint integration, it downloading of template worked fine in test / development environment portal but in production, the folders looks like a normal text and on trying to open the files, it throws "unexpected technical error occured". I was expecting that the .net framework might be having a lower version, hence i installed it, but still it throws error. Can someone help me on this.
