Closing a project in AX

Hi All,

we have a requirement of closing a project on AX .

Once closed,  it should no longer appear for anyone to book time to?

if this is achievable , please let me know the steps how to do it.

    Hi Naresh,

    If the project is closed users cannot record transactions on that project.

    Yet, the issue is that the project can be reopened anytime.

    That is, users can set the status back to 'in process' and continue posting on that project.

    There is no standard feature that can prevent that except making use of security role features that give only certain people the right to change the project stage.

    Any inputs that which role or which table will be useful to achieve the above functionality as you mentioned. ?

    Hi lally,

    If you want to allow only certain people to change project stages by giving them access to the project stage field you need to adjust the Standard role. Which one is hard to say, as it depends on the specific setup and the roles that are used in the company. In some companies only the project manager might have the right to change the project stage, in others, the project controller, etc.
