Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me is it possible to produce and purchase same item in AX. This items are to be resold or to become part of next level BOM.
This change need to be done periodically depending on production capacity.

Yes, you can do that and purchase a BOM item in an ordinary purchase order.
Alternatively, you can use it in a production order.

Please tell me if same item can be sold as semifinshed.
Just to keep in mind that item has its own BOM when produced. So i have seen possibility of Stop explode function just dont know how it is used.

When you have a product, you can produce, procure or sell it. If your item is a semifinished product, you can use it in a BOM or sell it.
Yes you can sell things as long as you have sufficient in your inventory.
Probably just run some tests in a MS Contoso demo company to check out things if you are in doubt ;-)

Thanks i will try that and check with coworkers why they have problem.
I have arrived in company 1 month ago. never worked in AX before so must now check and learn lot of things.
