Is it possible to create a menu item by draging a form from Form node to Menu Item Display node?

Hi All,

I know it's possible for AX2012 to  create a menu item by draging a form from Form Node to Menu Item Display Node.  It's a easy way to create a menu item.

Step:
  1. In the AOT, click Menu Items.
  2. To create a display menu item, drag a form from the Forms node to the Display node.

My question is that how to do these dragging way in Dynamics 365 FO(in Visual Studio). Is it possible to create a menu item by draging a form from form node to menu item display node? Or is there any other way to create a menu item simply?

Thanks in advance

    Hi Jacky,

Drag and drop a form to a menu item is not possible anymore in Visual Studio. You would need to create a menu item and then fill the properties with correct values. It is a bit more work, but still quite simple.

    Hi Jacky,
There is no way to do a dragging method in VS to create menu items.
This blog explains how to create menu items, you can follow the steps of the blog to create:

If you think it is a bit complicated, you can also watch the video in the blog to create it, it may be much easier.

    Hi Jacky,

I think you can consider Developer tools add-ins.
I have never used this. But you can give it a try.

    Thanks,
    Girish S.
