'Fake' users

We need to add activities (appointments, phone calls, etc) to Leads and Opportunities that belonged to former employees (as owners) without having to buy additional licenses.

Is that possible for Admin to setup?

    Hi ThimiosSp,
If you want to add users to D365 the following conditions need to be met, license is mandatory.
Depending on the need, you may want to consider assigning a license to the user to add him to the D365 in the first place.
Then you can remove license from the user.
    Based on documentation:
Disabled users without a license can still be displayed in D365 and can be the record owner.

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it answer your question! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,

    Hi ThimiosSp,

I'm not that familiar with data import or data entry using what you call 'fake users'. When entering a new activity, there seem to be a validation for having a correct license assigned to the user. I haven't seen a requirement to put older activities in the application.

Probably another volunteer on this forum can give you a better answer.

May be I wasn't clear enough Andre.
We did not have D365 when these colleagues were employed. Now that we use D365, we need to record their activities so we have a complete record as if they were old users.

    Hi,

According to the licensing guide, you need to license users who have access to the application. You don't need to have a license to records created by past workers if they don't have access to CRM anymore.
